Berkshire Afrofest bringing taste of African culture to Thatcham
A one-day family festival celebrating the growing African community in Berkshire is being held in Thatcham for the first time.
The celebration of African culture, food and music will take place on Saturday, August 10, from 1pm to 8pm at The Moors Play Area and Playing Fields.
Thames Valley Police and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending with vehicles, while Thatcham Town Council will be providing free water refills.
The Meet PEET (Patient Experience Engagement Team) team from Royal Berkshire Hospital will also be available to check attendees’ general wellbeing.
The whole community is welcome to attend.
