Berkshire Healthcare top gay-friendly workplace says annual index

Stonewall’s annual index highlights the best employers for gay, lesbian and bisexual staff in terms of training, leadership, procurement and engagement with the LGB community.
Berkshire Healthcare is ranked 70 out of 397 participating organisations, and is one of only seven NHS Trusts in the top 100 this year, moving up from 86 last year.
Chief executive of Berkshire Healthcare Julian Emms said: “Increasing our standing in Stonewall’s Top 100 list this year is a real achievement for us, and I am personally thrilled we have been recognised in this way.
“Being an excellent employer means doing all we can to support a diverse workforce which reflects the community we serve.
“Our ranking shows how committed we are to doing just that, and we know if our whole team feels supported and satisfied, this can only benefit our patients.”
