Berkshire Youth’s Waterside centre celebrates first anniversary
The recently refurbished Waterside Centre in Newbury is celebrating its first birthday this month.
During its first year in operation the Berkshire Youth-run facility welcomed thousands of visitors, providing sporting activities and opportunities for young people.
In addition to the yoga, boxing, arts and watersports, the centre is home to café Colleen's Kitchen.
It also recently opened up its own community larder offering food and essential items to those who struggling financially.
Youth and community manager Kelly Leach said: “We are all really excited to be celebrating Waterside’s first birthday.
“The team have worked hard over the past year to create a valuable offer to local young people and the wider community alike.

She continued: “It’s been so rewarding to witness the positive impact our work has had on young people’s lives.
“We look forward to the continued growth of our programmes over the coming year, and to celebrating young people’s successes and achievements.”
