Organisation that works in West Berkshire schools praised for its contribution

Berkshire Youth fended off stiff competition from across the country to scoop the top prize at the annual Children and Young People Now Awards.

The Reading-based organisation that has worked with several schools in West Berkshire won the Health and Wellbeing Award for its contribution towards young people.

It was recently presented the award, following its Let’s Get Going programme – which targets 10- and 11-year- olds, aiming to keep them active while they learn.

Programme manager Holly Raby said: “This is a wonderful achievement for our programme, which has achieved some amazing results over the last three years.”
