Children’s charity Berkshire Youth welcomes Andrew Try, Lord Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire, as new patron




Berkshire Youth has announced its new patron.

Andrew Try, Lord Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire, will be joining the charity to help the children’s charity in its mission to support and empower young people across the district.

Mr Try also recently celebrated his first anniversary as Lord Lieutenant.

“I very much look forward to working closely with Mr Try to further our work in nurturing the next generation,” said Berkshire Youth CEO Sarah Emery.

“Over the past year, Mr Try has demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication to the people of Berkshire, and we are honoured to have him as part of our team as we continue to build opportunities for young people.

“His support will be invaluable as we continue our efforts to inspire, engage, and equip young people for a bright future.”

Mr Try is also a trustee for the Windsor Learning Partnership Multi-Academy Trust and a governor of Papplewick Preparatory School in Ascot, which he himself attended.

He lives in Windsor with his wife and family.
