Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust

DOGS Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.

And every week we have been shining a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.

Nationwide, the charity currently has 751 dogs that are looking for a family to join.

This week we have French bulldog Bernie to introduce you to.

Bernie is a two-year-old Frenchie, looking for a pet-free home with a private garden.

The trust said he could live with older dog-savvy children, who can give him the space he sometimes needs, as he loves to play chase and tug.

“Bernie can be a little cautious meeting new people, but warms up quickly, especially when food is involved!” they added.

He will need to be the only dog in the home but he could have calm walking buddies if they respect his space.

“All Bernie wants is the perfect sofa to snore on,” they said.
