Best dressed competition at Newbury Racecourse

Racegoers are encouraged to turn up dressed to impress and winners of today’s

competition at the racecourse, will win a five night, five-star holiday to Long Beach, Mauritius, courtesy of Virgin Holidays and Sun Resorts.
The winners will be selected by a specially chosen judging panel and announced on the day, alongside racing highlights including the Weatherbys Super Sprint today (Sat), with 50 runners entered (up to Friday).
Stephen Higgins, Managing Director – racing and events, said: “The Summer Festival will see racing highlights that include the headline Weatherbys Super Sprint, a fast and furious five furlong dash on the second day of the festival, bringing plenty of entertainment and rounding off a great weekend of quality racing.”
According to the racecourse, the usual dress code applies, as follows:
“The Premier Enclosure is a smart, casual enclosure; many people like to dress up especially for our Saturday meetings. Smart attire is welcome, collared shirts, although a tie is not essential and smart denim is acceptable*. No shorts, t-shirts, vests, tracksuits or sportswear (including trainers) are permitted in the Premier Enclosure.
*Smart denim must not have rips or tears.
