Big day at the palace for Cold Ash man
Eugene Incerti, aged 48, his wife, Annabelle, his mother, Marie Incerti, and mother-in-law, Valerie Hunter, all travelled to Buckingham Palace to receive the award.
Mr Incerti, head of operations, at the National Apprenticeship Service, runs the national and international apprenticeship.
When he received the notification in June, Mrs Incerti said her husband was: “Absolutely amazed" and “Very emotional,” before adding, “I’m so proud of him, and the children are thrilled and call him ‘Sir’ which he loves.”
Mr Incerti, also has had to care for his two children, Lucia, 16 and Isabella, 13 after Mrs Incerti
was diagnosed three years ago with pulmonary embolism (PE) and Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
“He works incredibly hard and it is absolutely wonderful that he has received recognition for that,” said Mrs Incerti.
The certificate received as part of the award has pride of place on the wall and medal will soon be displayed in a special box frame alongside it.
