Big freeze to hit as more snow predicted

Met Office and Highways Agency issue warnings for freezing weather as 10cm of snow predicted for some areas

WEST Berkshire is braced for another big freeze over the next few days as more severe cold weather warnings have been issued for the district.

Heavy snow of up to 10cm in some areas has been predicted, with a 100 per cent chance of severe cold weather and icy conditions.

Drivers have been advised to check weather forecasts and take extra care when out on the roads as overnight frost turns roads icy.

West Berkshire Council's gritters and ploughers have been out today (Thursday) with a run across the snow plough network, which can be found on the council website www.westberks.gov.uk

Remember to send your snow pictures to newsdesk@newburynews.co.uk where the best ones will be considered for publication in the Newbury Weekly News.
