Thames Valley Police appeal for information as Newbury bicycle theft crimewave continues




Police have revealed that two more bikes have been stolen in an ongoing theft crimewave in Newbury.

The two new thefts both occurred yesterday (Wednesday) morning and in both incidents the offender or offenders cut the locks to steal the bikes.

The first bike, which was stolen between 10am and 11am in Newtown Road, was a silver Boardman cycle.

The second, which was stolen at around 10.30am on St Johns Road, was a Giant Phantom electric bike.

Those with information about the Newtown Road incident should call 101, quoting reference number 43220436671, and those with information about the St John's Road incident should call the same number quoting 43220435492.

These incidents come after one bike was stolen in Pinchington Lane and another was stolen from near Newbury Racecourse on the evening of Tuesday, September 20.

It is not known whether any of these incidents are linked.
