In the dock on Thursday, December 11, was 77-year-old Elizabeth Alexandra Beauchamp of Church Street, Hungerford.
Helen Waite, prosecuting, said the horror happened at a junction on the A4 Bath Road at Halfway.
The motorcyclist, identified only as a Mr Dibley, was driving within the speed limit in broad daylight, with his headlamp on, when Mrs Beauchamp pulled out in front of him, the court was told.
Magistrates heard he was flung 50m through the air and sustained injuries so severe that his leg had to be amputated below the knee.
