Reading Magistrates' Court: Calcot biker took cocaine




A MAN was caught riding a motorcycle with a drugs cocktail in his system.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 14, was Jason James.

The 24-year-old, of Oliver Drive, Calcot, admitted driving a Yamaha motorbike on Portman Road, Reading, on August 27 last year when the amount of a metabolite of the Class A-controlled drug cocaine in his system exceeded the specified limit.

Mr James further admitted riding the machine when the amount of the Class B-controlled drug cannabis exceeded the specified limit on the same occasion.

He was fined £250.

In addition, Mr James, who was legally represented by Catherine Brymer, was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £100.

Finally, he was banned from driving for 18 months.
