Blooming lovely

Spring is on its way if the latest My Newbury pictures are anything to go by

SPRING is well and truly on its way, according to the latest pictures submitted by Newburytoday.co.uk readers.

This week, Edward Balch has sent in an awesome shot of the classic Kennet and Avon Canal scene by the Lock, Stock and Barrel in Newbury, while Jo Parsons has submitted a great photo of some of the first snowdrops seen in West Berkshire this year.

The white flowers, which are traditionally seen at Welford Park each year, have this time been spotted blossoming in the churchyard of the parish church of St Denys in Stanford Dingley.

A number of birds have also been spotted sweeping through the skies of West Berkshire in recent weeks and to see some of the photos taken by readers, see page 14.
