Blooming Marvellous: Sonning Flowers wins prestigious Wedding Industry Award for second year in a row

A Kingsclere-based florist has scooped the Regional Wedding Florist of the Year award at the prestigious Wedding Industry Awards 2023, writes Fiona Paus.

Business owner, Heather Reilly, supplies her blooms to events across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire, and said she was thrilled at the win.

“We are absolutely delighted and just can't believe it," she added. "It’s the icing on the cake after winning the national award last year, to come back for the second year running and win Regional Wedding Florist of the Year again, it’s just an incredible feeling.”

Mrs Reilly and her team were scored for their floristry skills by couples who booked her for their special day. An expert panel then judged the business’s website and online marketing.

The winners were praised by previous clients for their "creativity", "faultless communication" and "expert knowledge".

A jubilant Mrs Riley thanked her supporters.

“A huge thank you to all our wonderful wedding couples of 2022 who voted for us and provided generous and incredible feedback about their wedding flowers," she said. "We’ve had back-to-back weddings since Covid-19 restrictions were lifted and my small team of seven have worked incredibly hard during two wedding seasons like no other.”

The Wedding Industry Awards have been running for over 10 years and aim to recognise excellence within the industry and provide engaged couples with a selection of local, acclaimed suppliers.
