Bluebell walk tomorrow

This weekend is one of the best to appreciate their natural splendour and, once again, all are invited to enjoy the spectacle at Fishers Farm in Shefford Woodlands.
The day, aimed at providing entertainment for all ages, also includes a teddy bear hunt and dog agility course.
Mary and Henry Wilson have been organising spring family days out for the past six years and raising money for charity in the process.
Mrs Wilson said: “We had our first bluebell walk in 2008. It was mostly friends and friends of friends who came and donated money in memory of another friend’s daughter who died in her 20s of cancer.
“That was so successful - we raised £4,500 - that we decided we ought to do it again. Bar one year in 2010 we have had the walk every year since then. Initially we were raising about £3,000 per walk but last year we almost reached the £5,000 barrier and we hope to exceed that this year.”
She added: “It seems to be particularly popular with young families and dog owners - well behaved dogs are welcomed and this year we decided to carry on with the teddy bear hunt as the children all loved that. The day also includes a fun dog agility course.”
Two alternative walks for Sunday, May 4, between 2pm and 5pm.
One takes around 90 minutes and the other, 45 minutes.
For those unable to walk, transport will be available from which to view the bluebell woods.
Children are welcome, as are dogs on leads.
Bacon butties are available to buy beforehand and cakes and cream teas are on offer afterwards.
Entry costs £5 and is free for children.
All takings go towards the Thames Valley and Chilterns Air Ambulance and the Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Appeal.
