Boaty McFly tippers run aground on West Berkshire roadside




Mystery of seagoing vessel at Crookham Hill

A BOAT called Little Gem has been dumped in a lane off Crookham Hill.

Alongside the small vessel, there is a mattress, bags of rubbish and some wood.

A West Berkshire Council spokeswomen said: “We are aware of the fly tip and are investigating the matter.

“If anybody has any further information regarding this incident or any other fly tips within the district please contact us via our website www.westberks.gov.uk/reportaproblem email customerservices@westberks.gov.uk or call (01635) 551111.”

Anyone caught fly-tipping could be liable for prosecution.

If found guilty, punishments could include fines of up to £50,000 or five years’ imprisonment.
