Body found in Hungerford
POLICE were called to Hungerford this morning (Monday) following the discovery of a body, it can now be revealed.
Newburytoday.co.uk disclosed the fact an incident had occurred at the Co-op petrol station in Charnham Street but, at the request of Thames Valley Police, did not report the exact nature of the operation until next of kin had been informed.
The force has now released the following statement: "Officers were called to the Co-op petrol station in Charnham Street, Hungerford, just after 7am this morning.
"Sadly, the body of a man, aged in his 20s, was located.
"The man’s next of kin have been made aware and are being supported at this time.
"The thoughts of Thames Valley Police are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
"The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
