Body found in Newbury

Police were called to a property at Curnock Court, Newbury, at about 4pm this afternoon

POLICE are investigating an unexplained death after the body of a woman was found in a block of flats in Newbury today (Monday).

Officers were called to the property in Curnock Court off Enborne Place, Newbury, at about 4pm today.

Police confirmed that a woman was found inside the property and was pronounced dead by an ambulance crew.

Spokesman for Thames Valley Police, Chris Kearney, said: “At this stage we don't think the death is suspicious but police are investigating.”
