Businesses warned over bogus advertising for this year's Royal County of Berkshire Show

BUSINESSES are being urged to be alert if approached to buy advertising in connection with this year's Royal County of Berkshire Show.

The local show organisers have contacted all trade exhibitors this week to advise them that they may be contacted by a Mexican publishing company - ‘Expo Guide' - inviting them to pay for advertising in an ‘Exhibitors' Directory'.

Exhibitors who have supported the Royal County of Berkshire Show in the past are being informed that the Mexico-based publication is not officially endorsed by the West Berkshire show organisers.

As in previous years, the official Royal County of Show guide is being produced by Newbury News Limited, of Faraday Road, Newbury.

The official guide will be available for show which this year takes place over the weekend of September 17 and 18 at the Chieveley showground.
