Boy charged after assault near Newbury Library




The teenage boy is due to appear at West Berkshire Youth Court on Monday

A TEENAGE boy has been charged with actual bodily harm after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted in broad daylight near Newbury library.

The incident occurred in The Wharf car park at about 5.30pm on September 10.

The 16-year-old defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with common assault relating to an incident on September 1 and four counts of criminal damage from August 31 and September 1.

He is due to appear at West Berkshire Youth Court on Monday.
