Boys beating cancer and Racecourse craft day

The charity run, now in it's third year of being staged in Newbury, was founded by former local man Robert Dore, who came up with the idea of organising the charity run, so that as many people as possible could raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The run is open to men and boys of all ages and has taken inspiration for the women’s equivalent, Race for Life.
Last year's run saw 278 men and boys raise £9,400 and organisers are hoping to exceed this figure.
The event will be held at Newbury Rugby Club with the race scheduled to begin at 11am.
But if you would rather watch a race then the Racecourse Newbury family fun day could be for you.
The funday will feature baking and craft workshops along with pony rides and races, including a fun zone to keep children entertained.
You can even bring your own bake and craft creations along with a chance to win prizes in a range of competitions.
The funday will run from 11am to 6pm, with races running from 1.40pm to 5.25pm.
