Bright moon inspires local photographer

David Canning, of Aldermaston, took advantage of the clear skies last week to get some unique photos of the moon

WITH the full moon beaming bright across the West Berkshire skies last week, one photographer was out capturing some unique shots.

David Canning, of Aldermaston, took advantage of the clear skies and the Spring equinox last Saturday by snapping away at the Pamber Lakes in Ravenswing Park, where he captured some great reflections of the moon on the water.

Mr Canning said he discovered it was not easy to get the perfect shot with a digital camera and all of its different settings, adding that after half an hour of clicking he went home despondent, only to find that on reflection, perhaps his photos offered something a little bit different (see above and additional pictures below).

If you have a photo you think is worthy of publication, please send it in to us at newburytoday@newburynews.co.uk marked ‘My Newbury' and we will feature it here online at Newburytoday.co.uk or in our sister papers, the Newbury Weekly News and The Advertiser.
