Brimpton youngsters to go to new heights for fundraising feat for dad





William Thomas, aged 11, a pupil at Brimpton Primary School, has organised the event of his own accord with a desire to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, where his father, Lindsey Thomas, is being treated for melanoma cancer, a type of skin cancer.
William will undertake the feat with fellow year six pupils Sophia Atkinson, Oliver Dyer, Ryan Heap, Nathan Johnson, Aidan Murphy and Alice Simpson on Sunday, June 8.
His mother, Joanne Thomas, said: “It makes me really proud that he wants to give something back to the hospital that’s helping his dad with his treatment.
“He wants to go out if his way to raise money for the hospital.”
Some funds raised from the trek will also be donated to the Brimpton School Fund.
Anyone wishing to donate to the cause should send cash or a cheque payable to Brimpton School Fund to the school in Brimpton Lane, Brimpton, West Berkshire, RG7 4TL
