Traffic alert: A34 one lane blocked northbound between the M4 at Chieveley and the A4185 at Chilton due to broken down vehicle

UPDATE - 9am: All lanes have now reopened and traffic is flowing freely.

A broken down vehicle is blocking one lane of the A34 this morning (Monday).

The lane is closed on the northbound carriageway, just north of the M4 at Chieveley.

National Highways said it expects to have the road fully open again by around 7.45am.

Traffic is backing up to before the M4 junction and is heavy up to the A4185 at Chilton.
