Brothers embark on 40-mile cycle for cousins with cancer today (Mon)

Walker brothers Fergus, aged 13, Oliver, aged 11, and Jonny, aged five, are undertaking a sponsored cycle between all of the cousins’ schools in honour of the fantastic care and support children’s cancer charity Clic Sargent has provided to George Woodhead, aged 12, and Katie Woodhead, aged eight.
In February, George was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer, and is still undergoing treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
Just seven months later, his younger sister Katie was diagnosed with germ cancer and in having chemotherapy to treat a tumour in her stomach.
And they have raised more than £7,000 for CLIC Sargent before even setting off venture.
Fergus and Oliver will begin the 40-mile feat from George's School, Horris Hill in Newbury, to Brockhurst, Oliver's school.
Jonny will then join his brothers to cycle to his school Harriet House, in Frilsham.
The older two will then continue on to Pangbourne College, which Fergus and George and Katie’s sister Izzy, 15, attend, and onto Katie's school, The Manor, in Abingdon.
Their mum, Rebecca Walker, said: “We are very proud that they thought to do this and that they want to show their support to their cousins and our family.
“It put a big smile on George and Katie’s faces. We are hoping that they will be well enough to see the boys off on Monday.”
She added thanks to Banjo Cycles which has donated bikes and cycling gear for the challenge.
