BT fault shuts down phonelines for Bishops Green residents

The fault in BT’s local network was identified by local resident and former Greenham Parish Council chairman Tony Forward on Saturday.
According to BT the problems have affected around thirty other households in the Bishop’s Green area, with internet access and phone lines currently down.
Tony Forward said it was first brought to his attention at the weekend by a friend who reported the lack of service, and that he was aware of two other neighbours with the same problem.
BT Spokesperson Paul Hayward confirmed: “We started to get reports of faults on Saturday afternoon. We have engineers onsite today (Monday) working to locate the nature of the problem and what needs to be done to get these lines back into service.
“We will know more once that investigation is complete.”
