Bucklebury choir gather for farewell performance
Bucklebury Enharmonic Choir is preparing for its last ever performance.
The choir will perform at St Mary's Church in Bucklebury on Sunday at 7pm.
The organisers anticipate an attendance of between 150 and 200 and promise opportunities for audience participation – including a surprise activity for the children.
Everyone is invited to attend the free event, which includes refreshments. Please contact daniel.nicholls64@outlook.com or call (0118) 971 2555 for any enquiries.
Directing the performance is the former music teacher to the Princess of Wales, Daniel Nicholls.
He and his wife Sandra are both veteran performers and music teachers who have run the choir for 12 years.
The choir have performed at a variety of venues, including abroad in Belgium, Mallorca and Jersey.
They perform a mix of modern and classical pieces along with new compositions, and their work has gained them national media recognition on more than one occasion.
The choir previously met on Wednesday evenings but owing to different factors, the pandemic being one, they have decided to disband after this final farewell performance.
