Bunting placed in Newbury town centre by Newbury BID to celebrate Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Union Jack bunting, which features the official logo for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, has been installed across Newbury town centre.
Organised and carried out by Newbury Business Improvement District (BID), the bunting was put in place on Sunday, April 3 and will remain up throughout the spring and summer.
The bunting has been put up along Northbrook Street, Bartholomew Street, Market Place and part of Cheap Street to brighten up the town centre.
Newbury BID’s marketing manager Kirsty Lemberger said: “As a quintessentially British market town, we felt that it was extremely important to commemorate our heritage and celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with colourful bunting that will add vibrance to our town centre.
“We hope that visitors and local residents visit the town centre to take a look at the bunting while taking advantage of the fabulous independent businesses, both hospitality and retail, we have on offer!”
