Burglars stole £17,800 of goods from Thatcham home
Jewellery and Commonwealth Games gold medal among items stolen from house in Bath Road
THOUSANDS of pounds worth of jewellery, including an antique Commonwealth Games gold medal, has been stolen from a house in Thatcham.
Police are seeking witnesses to the burglary which took place sometime between 11.30am and 12.15pm on Tuesday (27), in Bath Road.
One of the French window doors was removed from its hinges and jewellery and watches, worth £17,800, were stolen.
The Commonwealth Games gold medal has been described as oval, two inches long and one-and-a-half inches wide.
Other items which were stolen included a Breitling Colt Super Ocean watch with an orange face and blue leather strap and a steel and gold men's Rolex watch with the box and the guarantee papers.
The papers have a stamp from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward.
