UPDATE: Newbury College re-opens after burst boiler is repaired




UPDATE 14.10pm: The burst boiler that closed Newbury College earlier today (February 5) has been fixed.

The college posted the news on its Facebook page at 1.15pm.

Evening classes at the college will go ahead today, with normal timetables resuming tomorrow (Tuesday).

A Newbury College spokesperson said: “The boiler has been fixed.

“Evening classes will go ahead as planned, and normal daytime timetables will resume tomorrow.

“Thank you for your understanding and patience today.”

12.45pm: Newbury College campus has closed to nearly all students today (February 5) due to a burst boiler.

The college announced the closure on its Facebook page this morning.

A Newbury College spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, due to a burst boiler, the college site is closed today to all students, except for foundation learning.”
