Burst water main in Cold Ash this morning (Monday)





Thames Water engineers are working to fix a burst water pipe in Fishers Lane, Cold Ash, after being alerted at 6.30am.
The company said that it had received 106 calls from affected customers in the RG14 and RG18 postcode area.
A spokeswoman for Thames Water, Becky Trotman, said: “We’re sorry to customers affected by the burst main on Fishers Lane.
"We’ve got a team there who have started to fix it and in the meantime we’re re-routing water around our network of pipes to get as many customers as possible back in supply.”
UPDATE 2.41pm
Thames Water said: “All properties have had their supply back since late morning except six which we’ve arranged bottled water for. We hope to finish fixing the pipe so they have their supply back tonight.”
The company added that the six properties were close to the burst pipe in Fishers Lane.
