Burst water main near Thatcham

Repairs to a section of pipe in Harts Hill Road carried out by Thames Water today (Tuesday)

A WATER main which burst last night (Monday) has disrupted the flow to houses in the Harts Hill Road area between Thatcham and Bucklebury.

Spokeswoman for Thames Water, Becky Johnson said a water main on Harts Hill burst at around 10pm last night, and a 10 metre section of pipe needed to be replaced.

“We have re-routed water through our other water mains to ensure everyone still has their water supply throughout our repairs, however some properties on higher ground may have lower water pressure,” she said.

“We will complete the repairs today. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused as a result of these works.”
