Get your tickets for the business night of the year

IN a little over six weeks’ time, hundreds of people will gather to toast the very best businesses in the district at a glittering black-tie awards ceremony at Newbury Racecourse.

Tickets are selling fast for the hottest night in the West Berkshire business calendar and people are being advised to book now to avoid disappointment.

The awards, sponsored by the Newbury Weekly News, recognise and celebrate the success of the local business community.

Judges visited applicants throughout July and the list of finalists competing for the prestigious prizes has been announced.

There are nine individual awards to enter this year, covering all aspects of business and charity.

The winner of each category will be in with a chance of taking home the coveted Newbury Weekly News 2016 West Berkshire Business of the Year Award.

The awards will be handed out at the gala dinner and ceremony at Newbury Racecourse on Friday, October 14.

The finalists are as follows:

Greenham Common Trust Community & Charity Award: Home-Start West Berkshire, Newbury Riding for the Disabled, The Bruce Trust.

PBA Accountants Small Business Award: Bravo Hairdressing, Michael Pagliaroli Architects, Terptree Ltd, VICI Language Academy.

Newbury Racecourse Rural Award: Cobbs Farm Shop and Kitchen, Newbury and District Agricultural Society, Wasing Park and Estate.

Santander Entrepreneur Award: Charter Travel, RS Catering and Events, VICI Language Academy

Appleprint New Business Start Up Award: Abley Letchford Partnership, Heritage Legal Estate Planning, Snug Kitchens, TruGreen.

Newbury Business Improvement District Independent Retail Business Award: Cow and Cask, Natures Corner, Snug Kitchens.

The International Taste Solutions Business Innovation Award: Bigger Brighter Bolder, Generate UK, Trellisworks.

The Mercedes Benz Customer Care Award: Floating Point Wellness, Jones Robinson, Wasing Park and Estate, West Berkshire Brewery.
