Busted: reveller who forgot to empty pockets

Peter Charles Brown didn’t - and got busted for cannabis, revealed Helen Waite, prosecuting.
The 33-year-old, of Colyer Close, Hermitage - who has previous convictions - admitted possessing the Class B drug on December 20 last year.
Stephen Collins, defending, said: “One of life’s happiest things is finding £20 you’d forgotten about in an old jacket. Not so happy is finding £20 worth of cannabis you’d forgotten about when you’re stopped by door staff.”
The court heard the incident happened outside the Diamond Tap in Cheap Street when door staff stopped a “drunken” Mr Brown..
Magistrates fined Mr Brown £200 with £85 costs and £20 statutory surcharge.
