Café plan for Bridge Street

The plans submitted by J Hunter Foods Ltd seek to convert the former Cotton Traders shop on Bridge Street into a café, with the intention of selling bottled beer and wine, and aims take on three full-time and six part-time employees.
Although Newbury Town councillors had no objections to the plans, they supported the concerns of environmental officers regarding a lack of clear plans for ventilation in the cooking area in the basement.
A decision is expected from West Berkshire Council by June 12.
