Calcot home raided in drugs operation





The warrants were executed as part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering.
Eight properties in total were raised under the Misuse of Drugs Act at about 9.40am yesterday (Tuesday).
A dwelling in Dangaray Lodge, Calcot, was one of the properties targeted, as well as dwellings in Ringwood Road and Lyndhurst Road, both Tilehurst.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering from Ringwood Road, while a 52-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man have been arrested from Hatford Road, Reading on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
A 33-year-old man was also arrested from an address in Lyndhurst Road, Reading, on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering.
Detective Inspector Nick Watts, who is leading the operation, said: “These warrants are part of an investigation into an organised crime group operating in the Reading area.
“Searches are continuing at the properties in question at this time.”
