Call for more entries to Englefield 10k run
There will also be a 3.2k race for under 15s and a fancy dress run for children, alongside the multi-terrain event.
All proceeds from the event, organised by the Rotary Club of Reading Abbey and Tadley Runners, will go to the Sue Ryder Nettlebed Hospice, which provides care for people with life changing illnesses.
Last year’s event saw 319 runners raise £3,000 for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.
Organiser Jim Walker said: “We’ve had about 250 entries so far but we’re hoping for 500.
"We usually get a few late entries and the numbers have been going up every year.
"We chose the Nettlebed because a number of our members have been using it recently, unfortunately.”
The event will be held on Sunday, August 25, with the 10k race starting at 11.30am.
