Call for potential housing sites in Silchester

The Basingstoke and Deane Local Plan has allocated 15 new dwellings for Silchester and the Silchester steering team is calling for potential development sites in the village.

A member of the steering team said: “The recent residents’ survey indicated an acceptance by the community of 15 to 20 new dwellings.

“There was a strong preference for the dwellings to be suitable for younger people starting on the property ladder or for older residents to downsize.

“The steering team now need to identify suitable sites to locate these dwellings.

“We are asking for local landowners who have potential development sites for one or more homes to contact us so a list of potential sites can be prepared for review.”
