Camp Hopson showcases £3m sparkling new look

Newbury MP to cut the ribbon at Thursday morning relaunch

CAMP Hopson is preparing to throw open its doors for a relaunch event after a £3m redevelopment.

The Newbury department store, which now features a new Angelica’s Terrace Café, as well as childrenswear and toys, will host the event tomorrow (Thursday) morning (September 22).

Newbury MP, Richard Benyon, will cut the ribbon, as the huge redevelopment works are officially unveiled at 10am.

Senior store manager at Camp Hopson, David Shotton, said: “We are really excited about the completion of this 12-month redevelopment, and the re-launch of Camp Hopson.

“This major redevelopment will be a great boost for the town, not only in its creation of new jobs for the area, but also in providing Newbury with a more diverse shopping experience through choice.”

At the event a beauty hall will be launched, featuring new brands such as Jo Malone, Bobbi Brown and Origins, plus a beauty room, with brow and nail bars.

New fashion brands include Polo Ralph Lauren, Boss and Tommy Hilfiger in the men’s department and Hobbs, White Stuff and Calvin Klein have been added to womenswear.

The shop’s 22,000 sq ft Home Store has also undergone renovations since it was taken over by Morleys Stores Ltd in November 2014.
