Canal piling replacement work continues

The piling, used to line the river bank, needs replacing in what is described by a spokesman from the Canal and River Trust, Joe Coggins, as a straighforward maintenance procedure.
Mr Coggins added the work should be complete by Friday, however if the piling is proves difficult to remove as a result of severe rust it could roll over to the beginning of next week.
