Candidates announced for town council elections




The face of Thatcham Town Council will change forever as only half of the council are standing for re-election

THE face of Thatcham Town Council looks set to change as half of the current councillors have not put themselves forward to stand in the elections on May 5.

Notable names who are to stand down include former town mayors Jenny Quince, Phil Dray and Stephanie Steevenson.

Also, the current deputy mayor Glyn Slater has chosen not to stand.

There are four seats in Thatcham Central, North and West and six seats in Thatcham South and Crookham.
