Cannabis factory discovered at derelict Thatcham pub, again

A cannabis factory has been discovered at a pub in Thatcham, again.

Thames Valley Police found plants and other items at The Plough Inn on the A4 Bath Road when patrolling on February 13.

Officers were patrolling when they drove past the boarded up pub and said the area smelt strongly of cannabis.

A spokesperson said officers entered and found evidence of the cannabis factory at the Grade II-listed property.

He said: "Plants and other items were seized.

"No one was found on site."

On February 14 members of Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) were asked to disconnect the power supply to the property.

Officers found a cannabis farm at the vacant property on May 15 last year.

Police enquiries are ongoing to see if officers can trace those involved in growing the cannabis.
