Captain Jean-Luc Picard beams into Bagnor
Watermill's Audience with Sir Patrick Stewart to to raise production funds
Sir Patrick Stewart makes a rare public appearance at The Watermill on Wednesday, December 7, to talk about his distinguished career, spanning almost half a century. Widely known for his television and film roles, including Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series, Sir Patrick is also a stalwart of British theatre, appearing alongside Sir Ian McKellen as the lead duo of Vladimir and Estragon, in Waiting for Godot in 2009. Most recently he played Shylock in the RSC's sell-out production of The Merchant of Venice. He is a passionate advocate for the arts. Audience members will get the opportunity to chat to Sir Patrick over a glass of wine served, with cheese and biscuits after the event.
Sir Patrick is generously giving his time to help raise funds for the theatre. All proceeds will go to The Watermill Production Fund which has been set up to support the work on stage, contributing towards the cost of sets, costumes, lighting and sound equipment – all the elements that make the theatre exciting and special for everyone.
Tickets, priced £45 are available from the box office, telephone (01635) 46044 or visit www.watermill.org.uk
