Car crash on A4 in Newbury

A car crash on the A4 in Newbury has closed an eastbound section of the road.

Several police cars, ambulances and an air ambulance attended the scene earlier this morning at the A4’s junction with Newport Road.

A white saloon car was involved in the crash.

Police labelled the incident a “road traffic collision”.

The A4 – also known as London Road – is closed eastbound from Robin Hood Roundabout to Martingale Chase.

Traffic has built in Shaw and central Newbury in response to the crash.
