Vehicle discovered well alight in pub car park
A BLAZING car discovered in a Newbury pub car park last night (Mon) was put down to a suspected arson.
One pump from Newbury Fire Station was called at midnight to the car park at The Swan pub, in London Road, after being alerted by the manager.
The empty vehicle was discovered well alight by firefighters, who cordoned off the area.
One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel.
The car was destroyed in the blaze.
Firefighters left the scene after half an hour.
