Suspected arsonists cause around £18,000 worth of damage after setting car on fire
SUSPECTED arsonists in Tadley have caused around £18,000 worth of damage after setting a car on fire.
According to Hampshire police, sometime between 10.45pm and 11.05pm on Saturday, May 28, a black Vauxhall Vectra car which was parked in Greywell Close, was set alight.
About £18,000 worth of damage was caused and police say they believe the vehicle may have been deliberately targeted.
Appealing for witnesses, Pc Steve Rogerson said: “Fortunately the fire was extinguished quickly, but this could have been a lot worse if it had spread to the nearby trees and houses.
“I would urge anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact me.”
