Car flips on ice on A4 at Woolhampton




Firefighters advise drivers to take care in icy conditions

A driver had a lucky escape this morning (Wed), after a car flipped on ice at Woolhampton.

Two pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 5am to a single vehicle incident at Cod Hill, off the A4.

The car was discovered flipped onto its roof.

The driver escaped unhurt.

The road was closed during the incident.

Firefighters left the scene at 6am.

Firefighters have advised drivers to take care in icy conditions due to sub zero temperatures.
