Operation under way as car plunges into freezing water at Great Bedwyn

THIS was the scene outside Great Bedwyn at 11am today, Sunday, after a car plunged into icy waters.

Emergency services are currently at the scene.

One witness told Newburytoday.co.uk: "It looks like the car has gone through the fence.

"They have got divers there, too.

"I don't know how it happened or how long it's been there."

Wiltshire Police have been approached for more information but have yet to respond.
