Car set alight in arson incident in Pangbourne




Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an incident of arson in Pangbourne.

A BMW X5 was parked on a grass verge on Bourne Road and set alight on Sunday, October 23, at 4.45am.

Fire crews attended the scene, but the vehicle was burnt out.

Investigating officer at Newbury police station detective sergeant Stuart Streeter, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who may have seen anything, or any camera footage in the area or any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.

“You can get in touch by either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43220465002.

“Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“We believe that this is an isolated incident and there should be no wider community concern.”
