Car show is a classic
The crowds and the sunshine meant last year’s cancellation due to bad weather became a fading memory.
The annual Lambourn Vintage Machinery Society event is always held on the first Sunday in May and regularly attracts up to 3,000 visitors.
Among the attractions were motorcycles, tractors, lorries, cars and vintage engines plus a display or rare breeds and poultry.
Trade stands and auto jumble stalls provided plenty of other ways to pass the day.
One of the organisers, Janet Pritchell, said: “Everyone who came had a really lovely day. Ours is the first vintage show of the year so people were really keen to get out in the sunshine and have a good time - especially since last year the ground was so waterlogged it had to be cancelled.”
